What We Do

How We Transform Petals Into Purpose

RECOVER & REDESIGN

Every bouquet has a story, and thanks to our generous partners—brides, event planners, hotels, and businesses—those stories don’t end when the event does. Their donations allow us to rearrange them for the below purposes.

DELIVERIES

Through our reBloom Deliveries, flowers from weddings and events are given new purpose as small bouquets that bring joy to care communities, teachers, and nurses. Each arrangement is reconstructed into smaller bouquets that carry forward the spirit of celebration.

Three types of reBloom deliveries serve the same mission but deliver joy in three different ways-

reBloom Drop-Offs

Quiet Acts Of Kindness With Lasting Impact

(Adult volunteers deliver flowers for staff to distribute)

Through reBloom Drop-Offs, volunteers collect, rearrange and deliver repurposed event flowers to care facilities, where staff distribute them to residents.  Even without direct interaction, these thoughtful gestures bring beauty, gratitude, and a gentle reminder that the community cares.

reBloom Visits

Where Kindness Blossoms In Person

(Students make and deliver the arrangements themselves)

reBloom Visits invite students and youth volunteers to create small floral arrangements and hand-deliver them to residents in nursing homes and assisted living communities. These visits spark conversation and connection.

reBloom Grace Deliveries

Where Beauty Brings Comfort

(volunteers and faith partners sharing beauty and comfort during life’s most tender moments)
Through Second Bloom Grace Deliveries, volunteers collect and rearrange event flowers into small, peaceful bouquets that are gifted to clergy and chaplains visiting hospice patients. These blooms accompany tender conversations at the end of life, helping clergy enter with warmth, softness, and compassion. Each flower becomes a  way to bring light, comfort, and grace when words may be hard to find.

CONNECTION CLASSES - Shared Stems and Stories

(A cross-generational flower experience that that brings students and seniors together to share smiles, stories, and stems.)
Our Connection Classes bring students and senior residents together to share creativity and conversation. In these free volunteer-led sessions, participants work side-by-side to create bouquets for senior residents

SUSTAINABILITY INITIATIVES

We don't just believe in taking care of our community, we are believe in taking care of our planet too. We compost any flowers that don't make it into our repurposed bouquets. The compost feeds the garden that supplies a lot of our fillers for bouquets. We also make our best efforts for collect and repurpose all vases when logistically possible.

We believe that a small act of kindness can make a big difference.

Our Vision

Building a future where communities flourish through connection and sustainable practices — with every bouquet sparking the cycle of kindness.

Our Mission

At reBloom, our mission is to reconnect people through the simple act of giving and receiving flowers . A bouquet can be more than an object of beauty; it’s a conversation starter, a smile, and a moment of comfort. We reclaim flowers from celebrations and transform them into new arrangements that brighten elder communities, classrooms, and care spaces. Through creative collaboration among students, volunteers, and caregivers, we reduce waste, build bridges across generations, and offer moments of renewal to those who give so much of themselves every day.

Our Inspiration

Chain Reaction of Giving

It starts with a single act of kindness: the donation of flowers. Volunteers who repurpose them feel inspired and purposeful, passing that energy to social workers and community members. Our hope is that everyone touched by the reBloom process carries that positivity back into the community, sparking further inspiration.

A Symbol of Love

Flowers are not only beautiful—they are a universal symbol of love, especially meaningful for those living with Dementia or Alzheimer’s, who rely on visual and sensory cues. Their presence serves as a gentle reminder that they are seen, valued, and cared for.

The Perfect Place to reBloom
Naples is a destination for weddings, vacations, and corporate events—yet also home to a growing retirement community. As families face the challenges of long-term and palliative care, reBloom connects the joy of event flowers with the needs of the aging population and their caregivers. By reusing and recycling what can’t be reduced, we extend beauty and compassion to where it’s needed most.

The Science

While it's enough to see the smile on our recipients faces, research backs up our mission too. Studies show that patients with flowers in their rooms  have

  • shorter hospital stays

  • lower ratings of pain, anxiety and fatigue

  • lower blood pressure

  • more positive feelings

A Rutgers University study showed that flowers are an "emotion inducer" and improve mood and long term episodic memory in elderly patients.
